how much per year depends on age (of you and the car), history, location, agreed value etc.

Expect anywhere from $500-2500+ for full comprehensive insurance.

The best by far is shannons from at least a claims perspective.

best by price...ring around.

do a search there are LOTS of discussions on this already ;)

Shannons all the way. Full comp on my XR6 Turbo ute is only $840 per year.

They were also going to insure my mini for agreed value of $25k for about $450 i think. I dont have insured cause it never gets driven.

I'll say Shannons. Cost me $90 to insure my painted shell & parts for 5k(Laid up). Now I have home contents and 2 daily drives with them and saved heaps from my previous insurer.

   Are you for real?

Ask them about 'laid-up' cover - fully insured whilst it is in the shed, or on the trailer. It is too cheap not to do.

I must say i am quite surprised that you don't have it covered :!:

Shannons, prices start from approx $200 and go up from there.

You can get a quote online from their website or just call them

Maybe we need a sticky for Insurance. Since it seems to come up every few weeks, and people don't search first.

I'm with Suncorp Classic insurance, car has to be over a certain age (25 years I think). Mine is fully comp for $400.

Ive never believed in insurance. Dunno why... Plus none of the major players were willing to insure the car as it has to many modifications.

I did decide to insure the XR6 though, and enquired about insuring the mini. They were happy to insure it even with all the mods its got... even with the non-engineer approved honda brakes, which i was very suprised with!!!!

An insurer wont care whether your modifications are legal or not, its up to you to ensure that they are.... If you crash and they are not engineered, even if they are on your policy, and if they were a direct cause of the accident... guess who wont be getting a payout
