Joe,
The car was in the car yard (re-birthing yard if you ask me) at the bottom of Edgar St in Condell Park, just up from the Trotting Club. Where they do all those re-birthed, sorry re-built BM's and Merc's.
They have NO IDEA what they are talking about and I think they are looking for $15K +
Dodgey as ever !! Go in with eyes open.

And it's advertised as a 1977 model? I'm assuming the dealer would have the car's paperwork, in which case this is either a early UK import or it's a "things that make you go hmm...".

"duh, it says so on the rocker cover... "
"oh, right... nice one"

I talked to a previous owner of it back here in Adelaide when it was for sale (it had a union jack sticker on the roof at that stage).

He wanted 12 grand for it. He claimed it was a 1460 aswell, and it said it on the rocker cover. It sounded beastial though. But I was 14 and didn't have a driver's lisense (obviously) so couldn't test drive it to make sure.

He said it was imported. Which is obvious but at least he didn't lie.

'Tis a nice car but, the 1977 part makes you wonder...

Matt, what evidence do you have for your above statement?

I deal with these guys at this car yard & i find them to be 100% genuine good guys who happen to hate car theft & rebirthing.

Just watch your mouth before you shot it off.

Doogie

PS the mini is actually i nice peice of kit.

Hay, it's not about the car, it's not about the venue, it's about the people that come here. Peter Dwyer, Mayor of Hay NSW.

We used to cop this sort of flak too where I worked in Melbourne. We were importing 929/Cosmo's, Accords etc and doing all the conversion works etc ourselves.

The business was run legitimately. We did all of the work by the book, but it was rumored that we were shonky.

Luckily my Boss had thick skin. Everyone that bought one of our cars was happy, so that should have spoke for itself.
