There is still one around there - cant remember where - but I saw it a little while ago - I will grab the camera one day and get some pics.

cool, maybe it was from a dealer yard or something?

I drive past the factory site nearly everyday (mostly in a Citroen till i finish the clutch overhaul on the mini) but the whole suburb seems much changed from even the 70's pics.

The one high rise across the road at the right hand side (almost in the back corner) was the old apprentice training block. Level after level of workshops and classrooms. It's still used for technical training by the Navy getting the technicians from certificate to certificate 4 and cert 4 to 5. Also the hanger type building which is used by Email to make your kilowatt hour meters these days.

Nice recognition of some of our beloved makes. The responsible Council official should take a bow :)

There is a big Larke Hoskins new car dealership near the former factory site - looks like it might have had a big Morris logo on the tiled front to the main tower over looking a busy road intersection (slowly being built out by high rise housing), its now got a huge Honda H on it. The building looks kind of 50/60's in design... maybe personal photo collections of the BMC era are yet to make it to the internet, or maybe they just dont exist anymore.
