Hey peeps, not exactly Mini related, BUT ...

Our long beloved 1980 Toyota Crown is up for adoption to a good home. Motor is in good condition, and air conditioning works. Needs rust repair (under rear screen, and bottom of front doors afaik), and rear brake discs replaced and serviced. Has a brand new battery, as of last week-end.

All we ask is that it go somewhere where it won't be wrecked/scrapped for parts, and the cost of the new battery. :D

And I figure that if anyone can provide a good home, it's the lovely folk at AusMini. Be good to Ausmini, and it will be good to you I say.

If you'd like any other details, just ask, or PM.

nah. this one has the second air con unit, and air purifier up there. no fridge sadly - i would have made good use of it if it did!

personally, i think if you whacked a turret on the top, it'd make a damned fine tank!

I agree it looks too good to wreck, but sadly have no need either.

Goodonya for offering it though - that's the ausmini spirit :D

If it was in Melbourne I would be interested. :(

Currently looking for a Toyota project - a Corona Coupe (two door pillarless).

yeah, as mentioned, it needs a rear pad change and service, and some rust repair. i doubt they'd pass it with the rust under the rear screen as it is. outside of those two areas, i don't know of any reason why it wouldn't go through.

Mainly just effort. My Dad wants it gone, but it was my Mum's car, and she has a lot of affection for it. She wants to see it go to another family and give them as good a service as it gave us. They're also relatively busy, and don't want to have to stuff around with placing ads, and waiting around for people to come over, kick the tyres, and then say "hmmm ..... i'll be in touch" and not call.

Not stolen - who on earth would steal a crown?!?!?! World's slowest getaway!
