Yep thats correct, has a sort of rounded off triangular padded section in the middle with a leyland badge in the centre. I had a flappy door handle mini K too.

My "K"s Original bum

Nice bum there ..... the mini's , not yours .....

What's the P.R. badge on there by the way , is it from P and R Williams in Sydney or something else ? I haven't seen it before .

The car was purchased from P&R Williams and the badge is dealer fitted along with a dealer id plate under the hood.

Thank's Gilly , I didn't know they did badges , the sports850 is from there but in 1963 they only used a littel chrome sticker in the engine bay , they got a bit more advanced by the K by the looks .

Thanks for answering my questions so quick!

So does any one have an 1100 badge, swap for a deluxe?
And what about a Mini K steering wheel, mine has a Leyland one

Regards,

Chris

Mini K steering wheel is basically a leyland one , but with a BMC badge in the centre , as below

My '71 had a leyland steering wheel centre. It had bmc logos on the seatbelt buckles and a Morris badge on the bonnet. It must have been difficult for the employees when they were asked who they worked for.

They worked for BMC from about 58 to 68 then they worked for Leyland from 68 to 78. Not confusing at all.

Hi

I have added the details of your car, mz.mini to my list. I now have details of 19 cars spanning over 2000 in number.

I would welcome more additions in the list so keep them coming, whether yours, an acquaintance or jsut seen on the street, send them in to me. Remember though, that I am looking for the burstproof door fitted Mini K details.

Cheers
Steve
