If you have any friends with 4 elbows they might be able to help you out :?

Failing that, I would try finding a kid (or your son) to help you out.

Well, a very short drive and the speedo still isn't working and I don't know why???

Every thing seems to connected ok at both ends.

Might pull the new inner cable out and measure it against the old cable and see if it's the right length..

Update: The new inner cable is 45mm longer than the old one. Would it being longer make a difference to why the speedo wont work??

Update on the update: Size does not matter in this case. I have finally got the speedo to work.

I put the car up on stands, pulled the cable out of the speedo behind the dash, started the car and put it in gear while watching the inner cable. At first the cable didn't spin but I gave it an extra hard push further into the outer cable and away it went.

Put it all back together, one more run on the stands and all is good.. :D
