I've been involved in a couple of Current Affairs Stories and the end results are always crap. The producer has an agenda they are trying to push and make the story fit it.

About 12 months ago they did a story in our street on the safety of swimming pools and the disease that can be spread- you know the stuff "hidden time-bomb waiting to wipe out all who venture in" Our pool came up the cleanest yet that wasn't mentioned instead they showed our dog swimming in the pool with the voiceover condemming pets being allowed in the pool. She swims in it more than we do yet the bacteria count was the lowest - They showed some pools that looked like cespools and portrayed these as the "norm" for backyard pools.

Now, if only we could convince VicRoads of that when it comes time to register it first time out!

What the hell were those guys going on about. Walk into the shop, then out, then in again. to get the additive, fill up, then pay - or the fuel. How bout buy a big bottle of it . The commy or pontiac guy, were saying that it was an extra 10 bucks per tank to fill up, with adding the additive.
Its all rubbish and ridiculous whingeing. Dr. Do you say the the additive works? Then i belive you! In all cars or just minis??

We have used Moreys Upper Cylinder for the Past TenYears and have not had any problems. Lik Dr said when I pulled dowm my 1360 to rebuild 2 years agao the valves were clean as.

In My 96 EL Fairmont I was told that the plugs should be pulled out every 5000km to be cleaned as carbon build up on them. I have beenn Using Moreys init for 6 Years and Pulled the plugs out after 50 000km and clean as.

Again kiwis can help out here theyve been using the additives for at least 10 years probably more..
does nothing for the credability of the news..
its just hard to get the idea that in this day and age you can trust what you see on the news..

OMG  !! No more leaded petrol...my car is worthless.....the sky is falling, the sky is falling!!

Shame on you Today Tonight......shame, shame, shame.....what a pathetic ratings grab, with a worthless story about crap. No wonder ACA is whipping your ass!!

Yes well, anyone that watches either CA shows and takes it serious has a mental delusion. Why, it is sensationist TV, the guys that work on it know it is and they don't care, they go out of there way to make it as over the top as possible. Why, it's about ratings and holding your audience after the news(not that it is news anymore) They try to keep the audience glued to the telly so that you will stay with them or the rest of the night. How do i know this. I work at channel seven and know the guys doing it. Havne't spoken to them about there ULP story as they have moved buildings, but i bet they thought it was really funny.

By the way Anton, Ch7 is beating Ch9 in the CA department, not that anyone cares.

Cheers

Aaron

Sorry for picking this up so late, I wanted to come on and ramble on about the bs on today tonight but looks like you all beat me to it!

1) LRP going out from Jan 1, BS! I can still buy it at the Shell up my road today and it's 12th Jan!

2) If they made it harder to register old cars, it would totally decimate a whole industry. Companies like Shannons and smaller businesses like Mini Kingdom etc would go out of business and they surely won't take it lieing down! It's not going to be as sudden or as dramatic as that surely. It would effect millions of people, every uni student would have to buy a new car! rediculous

3) BP ultimate is good Anton

4) "It's going make cars that still run on leaded petrol more expensive to run" With flashlube it won't! gee I am still on the same bottle of flashlube, still not even half way through the stuff yet. I'd say it was a formality more than a fortune...

5) Agree, big ratings grab for nothing! Owning and driving old cars is an Australian Instituition. Trying to get them off the road... " It's just not Cricket!!!"
