OK so it seems I need some engine work done to the girl. Unfortunately its gonna cost me an arm and a leg. I'm also looking at buying an original mini. not sure which is the better option to spend the money on.

If you've seen my car, you'll know how far it is from original.

Hi MAtt

have a chat with one of the importers re a later 1275 front cut (I suspect Steve at Brickworx may have a couple of late model motors up for sale shortly) or there's a guy out Mitcham way who imports too, that way you can rip yours out drop another in and then decide if you want to rebuild the old one later

just my 2c worth!

If you go the Rover front cut, you'll also get all the later running gear including the 8.4 disks - just another $0.02

Sounds good to me. I suspect Brixworx will have something.
