Front discs are a very good up grade!! especially if your putting in a hot "little" motor.......1 thing to remember with minis .....do not take any short cuts or it will bite you very quickly!! (its the $2 parts that let go too!!trust me i know this all to well and thats when it becomes expensive!!

) if you are gunna do the motor do as the Doc says.....get the crank crack tested then machined if required, another thing fit a double row timing chain, especially if you are going down the "stroker" route. ( ranting again) You also may as well do the gearbox coz 1 thing you dont want is the crap floating around the g/box going through your fresh engine and causing premature wear to your new bearings etc, or have it fail due to the fact of the extra grunt being put through it. Dont forget the parts inside it have just as much strain/stress as the engine and they both use the same fluid to lubricate. It may only need a bearing kit put through it and more than likely a layshaft and a couple of syncro's but get that done by some one who specialises in mini stuff if you have the experiance of working with them.anyways everyone has probably heard all this before so thats my 5 cents worth
