Nope nothing to do with smells. Just wondering about the lynx head and also complete engine. Not the later model mini lynx. An old book of mine has an article on autocross, some nice pics of airbourne minis (will post at later date) and it mentions the mini had a lynx head, then when rebuilt used a lynx motor. I tried to find out more but not even google is being too friendly. Anyone got any info on them? Would of been about 1970. The guy they interviewed 'Michael Browning' claims he once launched his carabout 70ft during a race.

Lynx were big on building performance motors way back then, including Minis. Nowadays they are just importers/wholesalers, not much local stuff (except Ramflo filters). You can buy stuff direct off their site.

Thanks for that, seems all they stock these days mini specific is inlet manifolds and mains bearings.
