well 2005 has certainly started on a high note for me. Seems things just keep falling in my lap. I have known about this one for a while but had to sit on it until official announcement today.
Amy Taylor, model, soccer player, TV personality and spunk will be competing in this year's "Best of the Best" celebrity race.
Amy has asked me to handle he PR work for the event with the chance it may be an ongoing job afterwards.
Man it's been a tough job. So far I have organise a photo shoot at Oran Park Raceway with Jason Cole.
I will be using photos from the shoot for editorials that will appear in the Illawarra Mercury , The South Coast Register, the Southern Highland news and any other newspapers I can get interested between now and Grand Prix week.
I am presently talking with WIN TV and i98fm.
As channel 10 cover the GP am hoping to drag the "Sports Tonight" team along to the photo shoot to take some footage and also do an interview for use on Sports Tonight and / or during the GP telecast.
We are talking with the editor of Fuel Magazine and as a back up Ralph, though Fuel is certainly our #1 choice. Initial discussions are that they are more than keen do something. We are really pushing for a cover at the moment. I will update you on this later in the week.
Amy is keen to do something eye catching and she has suggested something sexy yet not over the top for the photo shoot, so I think men’s magazines will jump at the chance (That’s also why we are pushing to get the TV guys there as well).
So I'll keep you all posted.
