Looking for replacement Cooper S conrods.

Just wondering if there are different conrods with the same specs as a Cooper S conrod?

I read about using a chevy conrod?

If you can use different rods, can someone please help me locate them.

1275 Cooper 'S's rods are either 177s or 521s.
The only other choice you have are 1275 Midget rods 625s.
OR
you can go after market Carello etc etc but expect to pay big dollars.
RE: Chevy rods. Maybe your mistaken. You can use some Chev rod bolts but I doubt if you can use the rod. I maybe wrong, I've never heard of it.

AEG521's can be found in Morris 1100s engines as well. Rods are going for about $200 any condition so look out for them.

I've not heard of using Chevy rods, but my 1412 motor build is using ARP Big Block Chevy rod bolts and nuts.
I normally use BigBlock Ford ones (less work to fit), but this set of Chevys has been sitting here for years, so in they go!

There are other aftermarket rods than Carrillo. Graham Russell has just sourced some very nice ones from NZ. Cheaper, but pricing I don't know.
