Short flaps! Long Flaps!! we is getting nowhere!!

When was the last possibilty (in Australia) where we might see an imported long flap Mini :!: :!: :!: :D

Yes - my 850 had sliding windows and a short flap. I am hazy on specific details as its sooooo long ago (1970) and it was either a late 63 or an early 64. It was not a 1965 or post 65.

The colour was lilac sort of pink if that helps date it.

My 850 has sliders, no over riders, short flap & as to the originality of any of it I wouldn't have a clue...

Trouble with this quest is that probably the most common shunt on the road is the Liberace Shuffle, and how often do bootlids get repaired when there's a perfectly straight, easy-to-fit replacement just there?

I'm surprised there are still cars getting around with UK bootlids at all :roll:

FWIW, our '62 850 had a long flap. Whatever that is.

my '63 850 had a long flap 'till someone "poked' it in the backside (no didnt penetrate :wink: ) and im quite sure my mates '64 cooper s (sliding windows, not a 1275) has a long no. plate flap as well. it hink they phased them out late 64/65 (i wasnt even a twinkle in my ol' mans eyes then :lol: )
