With disk brake, do you put a pressure valve in the master or not?

And whitout, is it normal to have backflush?

sorry, but "Pressure valve"??? maybe you`re thinking of the "Slow return valve" ???

all brake master cyls should have the "Slow return valve" fitted

& "Backflush"??? Maybe you`re thinking of what happens when the fluid returns to the resovoir upon releasing the brake pedal yeah???

I`m not sure i can add much more help than that tho,,, you might need to get a mini specialist/mechanic to take a look at all for you to make sure it`s all good.

What is you actual problem? What`s happening (or not happening) with your brakes?

spongey?
Low pedal?
soft spongey & low pedal???

OK more info. I recieve a Re-kitted master cylinder with my disk brake. It had no pressure or returne valve. My mechanic install one.

The brake are really spongy and not really braking.

Call the mini place where i bought the disk brake and he told me to remove the valve. But when i do the brake fluide return in the master cylinder.

I am a bit puzzle, and it's the only major thing between me and rego...

Any help would be good....

Also there is moisture???? in the fluid :?

HELP :(

Ok, the "Slow-Return Valve" really does "NEED" to be in there for starters... so put it back in.

There can be a few reasons for brakes being spongey--->

( 1 ) most probably have air still caught in the system somewhere.
( 2 ) very old sloppy perished yukky swollen soft brake hoses.
( 3 ) incorrect, or miss-matched cyl sizes (master cyl to wheel cyl ratio)
( 4 ) Maybe a bend brake pad (don`t laugh, i`ve seen it before)
( 5 ) Very worn out wheel bearings will also cause it.
( 6 ) Loose pedal assy & master cyl mountings... (or incorrectly fitted assys)
( 7 ) Cracked brake drum(s)
( 8 ) contaminated/old/overheated/boiled/stuffed brake fluid
( 9 ) any combination of any/all of the above

If there is "Water" in the system then drain it all out & refill with new brake fluid.

Moisture in the system is good, "only" if it`s brake fluid moisture,,, if the system was dry then you`d need to fill it up, then it would be all wet again. (sorry i`m just correcting your terminology)

sorry but i can`t help you much more without having the car in front of me & check it all myself,
