Hi everyone,

I just have a few questions regarding needles.

Firstly, what needle is recommended for a standard 1275 (1100S) with a single 1 1/2" Carby and extractors.

Secondly, what needle was originally supplied with an 1100S?

And finally, if you have a similar set up, I would be interested in what needle you run and how do you find the car for power/ driveability/ economy etc etc.

Cheers,
Matt

Firstly, would depend on what extractors you are running.

Secondly, Standard= DZ. Weak = CF. Rich = BQ.

This question is pertinent to my set up at the moment as well. How will the needle choice change between extractor types? ie. LCB and three branch extractors? Or are there other extractors dimensions you had in mind?

It is just a case of the more efficient the exhaust, the more air will get in, so the more fuel you need.

I am running a set of LCB's. Nothing flash just the run of the mill LCB's. (They were on the car when I bought it- so i cant give you a brand, if any.)

I cant see it flowing a considerable amount more than a standard exhaust - especially as the head is standard or so I am led to believe.

Thanks for all the information much appreciated. :D

I will try some needles and see how I go.

Matt
