Hi everyone,
I am in urgent need of a full coil cover for mutant for the Hot Rod & Custom Show next week in Melbourne.

I preferably would like a silver one, then maybe purple but after that any colour would do as I could have it nico-shined.

If anyone knows of anywhere I can get hold of one in a hurry please let me know. I have emailed UK but if I can get one here in Oz that would be quicker.

I am on broad band and will keep watching for replies or you can phone me on 0412 039 863 or SMS me.

Here's hoping.

If all else fails, you can always use a red bull can. It gives you wings remember.

What happened to the old one?

The old one has been scratched as the bolt came undone and it scraped on something in the engine bay. Judges are very particular and last year we got second. Hopefully this year we can do the same but the scratches are quite bad so would rather replace it.

Try one of the hot rod shops....finned ones, chromed ones, etc. Probably something by Cal Custom would do it.

I'll be at the Hot Rod Show trading....not coil covers though!

Any chance of repairing the old one? Get it sandblasted or taken down in a lathe, and nico shined again maybe.

A couple of the scratches are quite deep and the cover is quite thin. Would be easier to get a new one at this late stage. Just waiting for a price from NMP. There is no one there to get one from so waiting for Andrew to arrive.

Also seems that when it was put on the coil something was used to keep it on the coil. It doesn't seem to want to come off.

Mini Car Clinic in Padstow sell the chrome clamp with a shiny silver plate which is wrapped around the coil a la Poeee's suggestion of a red bull can - they could mail it down to you no doubt but surely they would be available locally?

I have one on mine if you need a photo in situ.

Kevin.

I want the type that you get from the UK which has the cover of where the wires attach as well. I can get the others in the auto stores but would obviously like to get the one like I have now.

I have rang the Hot Rod shops, Mini Car Clinic NSW, neither of them have them.
