While I was scrapping away the mountain of crud from my engine bay, I found this interesting little sticker...

Image

This was under about ten different layers of paint, primer, putty and tar...

So can anyone tell me what colour 'sugar cane' is? or if you have a pic?

Also the only plate I found on the car was the compliance plate on the bulkhead crossmember. IIRC isn't there a body number stamped somewhere? If there is I can't find any other markings! :?

Cheers,
Sam

Probably the yellowy straw colour at the bottom left of the sticker

Yes same as my K (sorry no pic to offer you this morning), think some people call it beige, not my colour of choice for a Mini, but not too bad.

Cheerio

Dooh! don't you hate it when someone replies while your typing (with one finger on each hand....), Big Gig's looks a little whiter than my K, but it may just be the light? Any way you get the idea!

Nice, thanks for the pics :)

It's good to know what it used to look like. I tried to save the sticker, but I couldn't :( It's about half way between the center of the car and the bonnet hinge and near the top of the panel and it's a 1970 Mini K.
