hey all,

started pulling apart my 1098 this morning and came across the original oil filter, as pretty as it is.... what is the easiest way to convert to the more modern screw on canister type oil filter?

Just buy the screw on adapter thingy and a filter.
Bolts straight on.

The studs it uses to bolt on the screw on are a different length. Make sure you get those as well as the appropriate new gasket.

The oil line bolts straight up but be careful with it. Its a thin metal material and its kinks and breaks easily. Get it in position and tighten it down at either end as you go.

Bugger the studs, I just use 2 3/8 UNC starter bolts.. perfect. :wink:
