 Post subject: MINI MOKE BUILD PIX

Hi this is my mates moke i have just finished all the panel and paint work on.

I welded all the seams up and welded flat plate straight down the sides the smooth her up.

Blood orange is the colour that came out on the falcon XR8s, i sprayed it in acrylic and buffed her up nice n shiney!

why did you put plate down the side again?

is it straight over the top of the old panel or did you cut it and replace it?

same reason for welding up the seams, to give it a smoother and cleaner look, the the plated sides should also strengthin it up bit to.

i removed the square shaped panels then cleaned up all the edges with the grinder then used a cardboard template to get the correct fitment size then traced it onto the steel and cut it out and welded it all up!


im not shure what engine size it is.. maybe 1100.. but the engine and box have been fully rebuilt so it should be pretty reliable for a few years!

the bars were powder coated and all new lights put in so it has cleaned up well in the end!


ill be happy to get my $800 and the space in the shed back when johnathan picks it up and takes it home 8)
