Some more goodies, only one more thing and the engine can go together as soon as gr is ready all i need are my main bearing bolts.

got leccy ignition from john, after talking to him i chose this one over the pulsar dizzy, one main reason was that its brand new. and that i trust his guidance.

Ah, the mini sparc 2120 kit. I had one, was quite good, got rid of it and went for the 123 for the adjustability.

Check the advance stops inside the dizzy, that one is very simple to remove the top bits and have a look. Mine had a total advance on the advance cam thingies of 18 degrees (brand new), which is 36 crank degrees, which, on top of 8 degrees static advance = WAY too much advance.

Get the stop modded before you fit it, I reckon around 30 degrees total advance is the MAX you will need. Too much is bad. talk to GR.

Cheers

Matt

Picked up my engine from Mini King saturday morning, top job has been done, and it was built within a week so i couldnt be happier, got it home, cleaned it up, painted it and its not in my engine bay getting its nice new bits bolted on, can wait to hear it fire up for the first time   8) :D

so exciting to finally get it all back.

Final specs are, 1 3/4" carby on minispares type manifold, maniflow exhaust, double valve springs standard rockers for now, cam regrind, not re-13 but something else gr suggested, forget what he called it, unleaded conversion, bored to +60thou, full balancing for flywheel and crank, ap racing clutch and diaphram helping out a fully rebuilt gearbox. Spark provided with dizzy pictured above.
here are some snaps

I hope you coated the bare brake M/C, they do rust up. I cleanup mine all up, and now its slightly rusty, worst part is my brakes are all done, but for teh sake of my good looking engine bay, I'm gonna remove and paint.
