Hi all,

I stripped all teeth of second gear in the box going back some time ago, so i removed the donk and thought while its out i will clean up and paint the engine bay and tidy up all the pipe work etc,

Is that bulk head engineered?
other than that it looks good.

My thoughts exactly  - I hope there's some extra torsional rigidity added on the other side of the firewall.

Chaps,

It certainly is engineered and has been now for over 8 years, it has a steel section in the cabin, 3mm box section all welded in place, to the dash panel, firewall, original cross section and the has braces to the wheel arches.
Engineer siad it is probably stronger than original as the original cross section was not box section and was only about 2mm thick from memory[/quote]

what paint and colour did you use on your engine block? Is it high temp stuff with a clear coat?
Looks great!

thanks all

yeah same as Hanra has done, 2 pac same colour as body, use a little extra hardner and a bit extra thinners give it a gloss without a clear coat.

Im pretty happy with it too.
