Hi all,

Just bought a 40th Anniversary Mini (number 2) for my wife (Emma). This is only my second Mini.

We live in the ACT and are heavily involved in the Rallying scene. Currently race a 76 RX2 Capella.

Anything I should know about regarding new Mini's, still getting used to the spaghetti under the hood.

Cheers

Tim

Hi Tim,

Hope you enjoy your time on ausmini. The most important thing to know about mini's is to do regular oil changes due to the gearbox sharing the engine oil. I don't usually go more than 3000miles between changes.

Cheers, Nick

thanks 1018c,

I should clarify this is the 2004 "Rallye Monte Carlo" that commemorated Minis Victory in 1964.

Cheers

Hey Pete,

Glad to see you finally on here! Please put pics of your clubby up in the members mini gallery so I know which mini to look out for while I'm driving around.

Cheers, Nick

Hi all :)

I have actually been on here before (just over a year ago I think) but my login got lost in your crash. Tried registering again a while back but my registration request seemed to get lost. Anyhow, I'm here now thanks to Nick :)

I'm from the UK. I've spoken to some of you by email at various times as I write the Clubs and News pages for MiniWorld. Thanks to those of you who have sent me pics and information about your clubs and events, and to those of you who haven't, why not!! I love seeing all your great Minis, especially the early ones and the clubbies, they're so different to ours! And when you are all basking in the sunshine we're all cold and wet, so it's great to see the sunny event pics.

Kay

Hi Kay,

Great to finally have you on board (again :) ). At least you can now check out everyone's mini's in the gallery!

I think we need a few more aussie mini's in MW :P

Cheers, Nick

The May issue will have some Australian pics in it, courtesy of a member on here :) Please do keep me in touch with what's happening there, I know you have your own excellent mag now, but a lot of readers over here still like to see what's going on in other parts of the world. I personally find it fascinating to find out what's happening in other countries, particularly when I get emails from parts of the world where I'd never dreamed there would be any Minis.

Hi,

My name is Paul and my wife's name is Grace.

We just bought our first Mini. It's a 1971 Leyland Clubman.

It will be my everyday car, just have to do a few things first.

I have dreams of doing a full restoration but my bank manager/wife has different ideas.

Do you guys get together at all?

Hi Paul,

Glad to have you here. Some people do get together but it depends where you are - you might want to add your location in your profile so that people know where you are and if they can offer assistance.

Don't worry, my mini started off as 'just get it on the road' but one thing led to another and so far I probably could have bought a brand new car instead (friggin money pit :x ).

You will have lots of fun with it though

Feel free to post up some piccy's in the gallery of your clubby.

Cheers, Nick
