as above, many expletives on the discovery of the fact that my original wndscreen has broken right through the middle while in storage (in my spare room) not happy as I was nearly ready to put it back in...

Help! what do you recon is the best price I can find one? are second hand ones ok? I dont have any suppliers local to me and I dont think you could post one safely?
I have seen them for around 300-400 bucks... ouch!

Any help would be very much appreciated I feel sick to he stomach right now.

Try one of the mobile windscreen fitters, they should be able to supply and fit one for you.
Cheers Pete

I got mine through Instant Windscreens yrs ago. Was quite cheap from memory.

If it was an old original screen, then its probably best it did get broken, at least now you will have a tempered windscreen in the car!

The original Mini ones (except Cooper S, `Triplex' laminated) were zone toughened, when hit they broke into a zillion tiny pieces.
Current ones are laminated, ie they have 2 sheets of glass with a sheet of perspex stuck in between. If you go through one of these you are probably dead or severely cut up, so wear your seatbelts, people!

The local windscreen fella just fitted mine at home.
I don't know who he gets them through but it cost me $200 including fitting and shipping.
