It ain't BS gadget, somebody already suggested something along the lines of that in this thread.

All you need to do is make a new block that looks like an a series, but can take say, suzuki bike internals.
As far as the RTA are concerned, the block would be factory, and fit to factory subframe, so bigger power for less money (other than the block cost?).

If you want a bigger A-series you could always use the B-series.

Many mods that give more power in an A series just give more noise in a B series...
So I heard from a well known tuner...

But you can put triple Webers on the C series, it doesn't have siamesed intake ports. Unlike your B6.....8)

on that note, I was looking under the bonnet of a 6 cylinder P76 this week - I didn't know such a thing existed, I thought they were all V8... apparently this one is owned by the son of an ex Leyland employee and it's all original. Theres a badge on the side saying "Super Six"

very odd motor, I expected it to be the same as a Truimph 2.5, but it's a 2.6 and the ports were on the other side, and a MOWOG Australia logo cast into the block

with a SINGLE 1 3/4" SU on a log manifold - talk about grunt :?

nice car but - I like P76's

I think that motor was same as/similar to the Austin Kimberley/Tasman one, the big FWD that replaced the Austin 1800.
Just turned around 90°. Best part is the HS6 probably.8)

Easiest way to pick them is the 6 cylinder has 2 headlights , V8 has 4 headlights

EDIT , here's the back page from one of my brochures with engine spce .

I thought it was 6 cylinder O series engine. Like the one in the Marina but stretched.

My dad had a P76 6 cylinder.Good car. I would love a Targa Florio

I think the Kimberly was about a 2200 or 2250 cc SOHC and the Marina a 1750 OHC 4 and a 2623 OHC 6

They`re all too dam heavy

maybe just 2 turbo charged yamaha Ri engines in the back (rwd) & just have a carboard cut out of a mini donk in the front to fool the Dept Of Tpt yeah? ;-)

The P76 6 cyl is an E-series engine. It is related to the 1500 and 1750 motor.
The Kimberley was a 6 cyl based on the 1500.
The P76 had a 6 cyl based on the 1750.

The P76 6 cyl was a very smooth motor. A lot nicer than a Holden 6.

The O-series is a later development of the E-series. We only had the E-series over here.
