The cooper s has the large brown wire for charging, brown and yellow for the charge indicator and the field wire brown and green.
Now the problem is the new alternator has no marks on the terminal cover and only has two large spade terminals and one small . Please help

The 2 large ones are for charging, just put the brown wire you have on one of them. All I did with my `70 Matic and it works fine.
The small one is indicator lamp, brown/yellow.
The brown and green field one is not used, in fact you can unplug the old 4TR or 8TR V regulator, it's not needed now.. the newer alts all have internal regulator.
