Thanks for the heads up Josh about the Microtech, my only reason for going the Microtech is that there are a number of places that will do a walk in walk out fixed price installation including full dynoing.
Yeah I don't want to have to replace this clutch again any time soon so I think I will go something like this. Yeah I looked at a Adaptronic which was my other choice, given your statements I might go that way especially as I know they have previously done a 4EFTE... And yes it should go like bullet after the engine mangement and clutch is sorted...
By the way my pedal is pretty firm will something like this make it extra hard?
Cheers
Microtech's are very common and almost all workshops will tune them, but most people will tell you they are not that good. They are cheap and will make good outright power, but off idle running and starts just aren't refined. Borgy on here runs a Microtech as well and he doesn't like it. I've never used the adaptronic, but have heard good things and the developer Andy is local and will help you out with any requests or changes that you may want with the firmware.
Do you want to stay in Canberra to do the ECU? or would you come up to Syd?
Comparing my pedal now to what it was with the Exedy it's a bit harder, but i wouldn't say too much - it's personal opinion though, I actually like a tough clutch with some bite nothing worse than a slippy clutch, then again it's not a daily driver anymore and if it was it would probably crap me. Just about everyone who has touched the clutch has gone "WTF!"
