Hi All

Some of you may remember that i was looking at emigrating to Aus last year and talked about Adelaide. Well the amazingly good news is that we have now finally got our visas for Permanent Residancy and we have started packing all our stuff.

Now of course im bringing the 500 over, as long as get granted an Approval to Import which should be ok, but what i want to ask is whats the mini scene like in the Brisbane area as this is where we have chosen to move to. Local clubs? Whats the area like for driving minis?

No doubt i will be on here a lot more now im actually coming to Aus!

I'm not sure what the clubs are like ( I've got to join one ) but there's plenty of good roads to fang around. Where abouts in Brissy are you moving to?

Should take you to the Mini Owners Club of Queensland. Brissy based but has many branches Hervey Bay, Sunshine Coast, Toowoomba etc. Around 500+ members with monthly runs and get togethers plus a monthly magazine.

Its bloody great mate. Come on over, you'll love it.
The weather is Good as are the clubs, the runs and the people.
As for the roads, well depends were you go. Any road is good in a mini and we've got great mountains, coasts and country.
Make sure you get here before the 31st August for the Mini Muster. Show and Shine, Swap, Dispalys, Tom foolary run by MOCQ.

Ah you see i recognise that location.. Ipswich, thats one of our possible areas, its a bit inland for the wife, she wants somewhere out nearer the coast for obvious reasons.

We havent actually decided where abouts we are going to live as never been to the country or brizzie before, so im flying over on my own on 7th July to scan the area and sort a place so will decide then.

The 500, if it gets approved wont be out for at least a few months after that though takes sooo long to be shipped accross.

So themini Muster has been moved off the june long weekend? Which means everyone from qld can go to Hay this year! woohoo! Maybe more people will come up to qld in August for the muster then. I'll check the ole freq. fliers and just maybe i'll mosey on up.
