Well hes doing an excellent job of the second one by all accounts

I think the chassis length would not lend itself to a Mini body...the proportion would be out....two long and skinny.....now, if someone was to start up a rival class (maybe entry level motorsport??) with a slightly scaled down Mini shape on a squarer, wider chassis...wow! :D

now it`s funny how long it`s taken all you guys to even think of starting up a small mini version of the aussie legends,,, have a little guess why i built this-->

Image

With the Aussie legends weighing in at approx 450kgs,,, & only having about 125HP (if they`re lucky),,,
well my little buggy powered by a Yammy R1 engine has about 160HP & weighs in at about 320 with the mini-ture mini body on ,,, anyone with any ability in maths & physics could/should realise the potential of theses things as a new class in CAMS racing scene

now,,, who wants one? line up here & take a number ---> :-)

C'mon Matt , where's the mini-ture mini body you mentioned ?????

As for Aussie racing cars , saw an interview with a coupld of the drivers last year and they claimed they can take the cars home and play with them but are unable to test them since the creator of the class collects the rear wings at the end of each race meeting and gives them back at the start of the next . Without the wing they are supposed to be undrivable over 100 kph

even with a nice mini engine that would make a great hillclimb car

Hey now common Mick, That`s not what you said that night you took us out to that old pub in Canberra :-)

The bodys for these will be a while yet, I`m yet to finish the frame Jig & have CAMS approve it , so don`t hold your breath. I still havn`t finished off the twin cam kits so you can just imagine how long the carbon fibre mini-ture mini bodys will take

& yes, they will make a pretty dam serious hill climb weapon indeed... In fact I`m not sure i`ve ever driven a faster accellerating 4 wheeled vehicle than this thing.
& before any jokes about me not having driven any fast cars before, just let it be known that i have driven some pretty dam fast cars in my time, including things like V8 super tourers, 250cc super karts, turbo charged injected RS3100 ford Capri GTs & super lightweight gutted out twin turbo 520hp porsche etc etc etc

Mind you , i will expect a hell of a lot more fun with the buggy once it`s turbo charged :-)

Why don't you get chopchop to make you some up out of foam? Quick to produce, and very light. :)
