Wandering through the ABC in Ultimo, Sydney and found this picture of a ABC News Mini from Port Moresby:



Not the greatest quality (phone picture) but I think you can make out the details. Its says 1970 but the car looks like a deluxe, wipers on the right so maybe a pre 1968.

This is the first I have seen on mini's being used as a news car (most staitions had falcon wagons) but does anybody remember any mini's being used here in Australia. Maybe this is something for Watto to follow up?

cool. complete with a period dent in the front fender.

They would have been handy for getting round the cities, and what a contrast to the ABC OB van currently in the Nat. Museum Aust. in Canberra.
