Q1: is the pub still at the crossroads?
Q2: is the Collingwood still on the highway?

Must be atleast 18 months since someone was murdered at the collingwood. Maybe even 2 years. Perhaps its turned over a new leaf........nah!

do you remember the days when "The Crossroads" was a huge round-about. Traffic lights now.
The pub is still thereand its avery common starting point for many a "mini run". I live locally and I cant say that I have ever had a beer in the joint.

I can remember going there with the old man when I was a very young kid. It was just a "T" intersection back then  , and the original pub was where the lights are now (but I'm ancient  ).

There was a fruit market on the same side of the Highway (across Campbelltown Road) and a couple of houses up from that - but nothing else but bush.

A few year later (just after they built the new pub) I was going to boarding school just over the hill in Glenfield - and the seniors used to sneak up there on the weekends. You had to watch out for teachers though because if they found you there they would make you jog the 2 miles back or they would dob you in to the Headmaster   (I was fit back then despite all the drinking 8) )
