I wonder what happened to the Metro that sat in the foyer at JRA Liverpool for many months. There can't have been to many imported and AFAIK JRA only brought the one car in for whatever reason as they were never going to sell them here. Did it get sold in Oz?

I was told that they (JRA) had imported 3 for evaluation. I saw a red metro in Goulburn about 12 months ago and I used to see a blue one in Sydney quite often.
I tried to con JRA into bringing in a MG Metro turbo group A car but they were not interested! (Some other bloke connned them into bringing in some Group A Jags instead)

I worked there during this period in vehicle distribution. Yes the Peugots were CKD and built at Enfield. The Metro in the foyer was the only one I remember. I am sure it was a white car, but then memories dim over the years. There were some funny things built at Engineering Services as it was called.
