Well I know of three minis that had trouble today and if that was not bad enough, stupid events led to a chain reaction you would not beleive.

Due to an early start 6am, I packed my car last night. Got up this morning pissing rain thunder, lightning the whole lot. Jumped in the car and took off, Got half way to liverpool (THICK FOG) and wondered what time it was - DAMN left my phone at home. Then I noticed ALT light glow (see other thread)

Got to Liverpool and took the wrong turn for Krispy Kream and had to go the back way (more about that later) .

Got to KK, the only one there was Brad, no probs I'll use his phone. His phone was dead. It's Pissing rain and a huge electrical storm and nobody can contact anybody. Meanwhile Mrs Oz is at home with my mobile ringing its nuts off.

Decided ALT problem was not going to get me far so headed home. Got to edge of liverpool and found Josh broken down on the side of the road. IF I HAD GONE THE RIGHT WAY AT 7am I WOULD HAVE FOUND HIM AND THINGS MAY NOT HAVE BEEN SO BAD.

Did a U turn went back to help him. 2 Hours later we are still stuck there. Meatime we hear Kev's car is also refusing to proceed.

Josh calls Tow truck. I decide I have to get my car home before traffic builds up, jump in wont start. Using precious battery power trying to start it.

Josh gives me a push start and I take off. Hit every red light and I can feel the car dying.

BUT the little car looked after me. Made it all the way to the top off Bulli Pass and she died so I just rolled all the way down the bottom. No phoen to cal anyone so I walked the rest of teh way home and went back with a friend and Jumper leads.

Left home 6am, got home 11:30am. Accomplished SFA.

well if you boys look in the mini calendar today,
the 23rd of January 2005
is a morbid day for the mini
thats why three minis on the road weren't able to make it anywhere
this phenomena falls under the category of whale beachings, desert bright lights and why my keys are always found in the fridge when i lose them

Even with my limited knowledge I had my suspects it was the coil.

So he did not tell you about the part where we got it started by spraying a constant stream of WD 40 on the coil to stop the spark jumping to the pole. LOL the car ran OK until you stoped spraying the WD 40.

Haha, yea oz..I went down the road to Peps and grabbed a GT40..once installed started first go :) thanks for your help, glad you got back semi-ok.

I left out the additional words cause to do so would have made a long story even longer :P But yes, Oz went off at the little quirky mini's ;) ...lasted a good couple of minutes too
