GET rid of those tyres and Wheels Chong...NOW

My photo's going up came out crap but i did get a few from the Bini mini2/Mini chance meeting...Clutch

Chong,
Bridgestone SF226 on front and Falken FK07E on back is not a safe combination in the wet. If you wanna keep them, swap F-R.
And piss those LS Contessas wheels off- they're cracked!

I am not gonna hear the end of this one until I change the tyres am I?

Yes I have a whole set of "brand new" LS Contessas wheels here waiting for new tyres. I knew it was going to be a bad idea going out in the wet with her and I was right  Anyway I can't rego her this year without new tyres anyway so I was just biting my time...

Put it this way, today has made me think lots about what I got to do with her!!! , starting with Yokos and white centred contessas amongst other things... Next time, can we organise for a dry day?

Don't feel so bad Chong, my 1.4 tonne Galant VR4 got a bit of slippy action on the freeway, the 4WD & full throttle application helped smooth it all out, i don't think Aaron in the passengers seat even knew about it, but my puckering arse did.

Heh, i can now say I have done 360 in both my cars

Yes she was blowing some smoke, esp on 4th going up hill (i suspect when you floor the pedal to get her going). White smoke, maybe running rich on the high end? who knows with SU needles... It was actually good that I was following you cause I could tell which gear you were in (2nd and 4th, your reverse lights come on)

Yes yes, so I am spending Australia Day preping and painting the wheels for Yokos. Hey do tyre shops like Tempe or Bob Jane fit and wheel align/balance for free?

hahahaha, yep, will have to get onto those reverse lights!!
White smoke is not good.... but the car was usually sitting
on 100km/h and was really straining going up the hills
so not too concerned about the smoke, but it
shouldn't really be blowing it out all the time i dont think...
i am going to but a different exhaust on her (a bit smaller) cos
i think that muffler is just too big....

Yep, white smoke usually means burning oil.

Although I have seen a badly blown head gasket make lots of white steam come out an exhaust.

Either case is not so good.
