Hi im Tim Snowdon, or Mini Snowdon as some call me cos I have an older brother that looks a lot like me and because I drive a Mini. I drive a blue 74 clubman, it's a 1100 motor reconditioned gearbox 10" mags and perfect interior. I wanna get a moke next and do that up. Then I wanna buy a real cheap mini and thrash the hell out of it, I know it's cruel but it's fun and you have to have a good reason to buy a new engine and get a respray and what better reason than 'the engines blown and it's got dents everywhere from when I rolled it on that dirt road.

Hi, met some of you today in person. I drive a BINI and love it. My hubby has recently bought a 1994 Rover so now we can drive down the road and ignore each other.

That is, once he gets it registered and on the road of course. :P In the meantime, I am stuck with him in the passenger seat telling me how to drive.

Cheers,

Kerrie

I love the comment about MINI owners ignoring Mini owners.
Being a MINI owner, do you know the reason behind this? As its is the Mini owners that are enthused to see a fellow MINI owner. :)

Hey willy,

I wave at everyone if I see them. You will find (huge generalisation here) that new MINI drivers fall into 2 groups. Those who love the car, enjoy driving it and appreciate it's heritage. Generally these people drive a Cooper S. Generally they wave at everyone. Sometimes they are unsure of the reaction they will get and wait. They will return a wave from a mini if they get one first.

Then you have the people who have bought a car for transportation only and think it looks cute. Generally, these people drive a Cooper. They are always in a world of their own - you can do anything up to mooning them to get their attention and they still fail to notice you. They just don't understand the 'community' that surrounds our cars cause no one told them that they were unwittingy joining one.

So start waving at BINIs - hopefully my peers will surprise you :)

It's only the MINI owners who aren't enthusiasts. 8)

You'll find that both MINI and Mini enthusiasts are the good ones and as Poki found out today by the sounds of it, both MINI and Mini enthusiasts are easy to talk to! :D
