Not sure myself. I think they're http://www.filtrauto.com/ecross.html or is that just the distributor?

Funny enough I got an email from Ryco today.....
Quote:
Hi Michael,

Appologies for the delay in responding, we have found that the 2 gaskets
have been omitted, as you have advised.

Please accept our sincere appologies and note it is perfectly acceptable
to reuse the gaskets if they are not torn.

We will have the gaskets included in future batches.

Regards,

Michael Roussety

Weird,

I got some of that in a 2nd Email from them.

Thanks Brad,

We will have it rectified in future batches, in the mean time, it is perfectly acceptable to reuse gaskets providing they
are not torn.

Thanks again,

Michael Roussety

Tightasses! Order the genuine filter from Karcraft instead of messing with Ryco crap. :)

A Ryco filter was the genuine filter for an Australian made Mini. Ryco was the supplier for BMC Australia.
The complete R2200P filter assembly was made in Australia by Ryco.
A Cooper S or a Mini 850 had a made in England Purolator filter assembly.

Yeah, and so called "genuine" Holden etc.

But the filter elements from the UK fit both the Australian and British cartridges don't they? (Except Autos)

My point is, why not just buy them instead of messing with a Ryco when they cannot be bothered including all the relevant gaskets in the kit. Although it seems they have made some effort to sort the problem out, so I guess they are not all bad.

But that means for me, instead of walking into Rapeco or Ricebarn and picking a Ryco filter up off the shelf, id have to ring Karcraft, place an order, supply my credit card details over the phone, cross my fingers that the order gets packed up and sent, then wait around for 5 business days until it arrives, or maybe longer depending on how Oz post feels.

Ill stick to using Ryco me thinks. Hopefully by the time im ready to do another oil/filter change, they will have sorted out the problem.

Yes, I understand, it is extra hassle. But with a little forward planning it's not a problem. Just make sure you always have one filter on hand and when you use it order a new one straight away or pick up one on your next visit to your Mini parts supplier of choice. Mostly I will order a package from Karcraft or similar every six months at minimum, so I try and remember to order a filter as well. Of course you still have to buy the Ryco if you forget, which I admit I have done at least once... :(

I bought a Ryco one from karcraft a while back, same problem.
I found Mini Suzuki Spares at Seven hills still has a whole bunch of these seals NOS, has both the flat seal and the square O ring.

I didn't think they could be interchanged. They are the same height, but are otherwise different. And as I was saying before, some of the Purolator type filters are also coming missing the bottom O-ring.
