lol bubba pm on a price. ive decide to paint the brown seat black and use that so hopefully all goes well. drifter over at the moment helping me out and it was a struggle getting the boards out. mostly all wedged into place using liquid nails. found some amount of rust as well, just sanded it back and used rust convertor over it.

:x spent the whole day today with those rear seats and they are still not in. this morning drifter showed up and we got cracking at pulling apart the sheets of wood. what was hard enough because the other owner wedge it all in there making it impossible to get out....well almost impossible thanks to the pointy end of my engineers hammer. once we had cleaned it all up and we went to supercheap to buy some vinyl paint. got back home painted the seats which look pretty good. realised that the parcel shelf needs to be modified for the seat to fit :? . so we tryed to put the seat in and leave the shelf out.

top went in fine no problem, but the freaken bottom just wont go in. it wont go under the top piece and fit. we tryed putting the bottom in first and puttig the top on, didnt work just kept lifting the top piece up and out.

whats the procedure to put these rears seats in, am i missing something? pics to come

Are we sure those lighter seats aren't GT seats? I thought GT seats had that pattern. Would be a shame to alter those to fit into your car, when the other seats are available which you could do whatever at will.

They aren't specific GT seats but they are the pattern that was used by Leyland on all clubmans when the GT's were made if that makes any sense . They would be useful to anyone restoring a GT or early clubman .

I have some with that square pattern in black (rear only) out of the crashed GT I wrecked- they are going into my Matic unless someone wants em bad...

It'll be there around the other numbers in bold type. Under 'Capacity' or similar
