i have a 1100 (i think) motor out of my 75 clubman sitting in the back yard doing nothing.
i was thinking of selling it because im strung for cash, how much do you think it would be worth?

it has no modifications and has roughly 81 - 82 000 k's (i'd have to check)
and blows a little bit of weed.
i change the oil every 1-2000 k's and i have only done about 7000 k's since i got it

new thermostat.
flushed radiator.
new ht leads and plugs.

the sump plug is stripped so needs heli coil or the like

engine number: 9H791P/122675

cheers dion

you sure its not something like 99h791

if it is then it is a 998 not an 1100, but it would be worth to check the head on it though :)

and if its just sitting there not started, but not siezed 50-100 bucks id say

EDIT: in saying that though, all comes back to how much people want to spend ;)

The only way this can be an 1100 motor is if someone has stuck an 1100 crank in the 998.
An 1100 in a 75 (The last year of the 1100 in Aussie Minis) would have an engine number begining with 101*/ (the * being a 5 or a 6 or something like that.)

Yes it is a 998 unless someone has stuck a 1098 crank and pistons in there when they reconditioned it.
A very common mod, I have 3 `998' motors here like this.
