If you really wanted to go through the exercise and use coil springs, you can measure your 4 corner weights, ride height, dimensions and take the measurements to say Kings Springs etc, and they can make the correct spring to your dimensions and rates. Then you would have to make bottom keeper plates for the coils. After a bit of fiddling your done.
I don't think they need to be imported, that's for sure. I wonder if custom trumpets were made if they could not be longer and more progressive. I will set up a rear subframe and see. The fronts have to be short so present a very fast rising rate which makes for an uncomfortable ride, which I guess is what the standard set up really is anyway. Spring rates in a Mini are not straight forward as they work through a lever unlike a normal car.
