Is this a weber carby for a mini, i found it in the back shed??

It is not a sidedraft Weber 40 or 45 DCOE commonly put onto Minis.
It is a 2 barrel progressive downdraft, similar to the 34DHS that my Fiat 124 Sports had. Could be a 28/36DCD.
There were A series manifolds for these carbs years ago but they give gererally poorer performance than SUs do, on a Mini.

It's the same type that was fitted to some Renaults (not sure of year etc but I swiped one from a boxy shaped Renault) but was most likely fitted to other Euro cars as well . Other down draft webers have a stud sticking up in the middle to mount the air cleaner on rather than the oval lip for the specailly shaped hose to the air cleaner . I had big plans of using it on a mini and then ended up giving it to a mate who used it for parts on another of his cars as it worked out to be not worth it , too small for any serious performance .
