hi there
Has anyone had trouble with electronic fuel pumps?
It seems to go intermittently, car runs excellent, idles great etc.
Its only been the last few days since I put a fuel filter on. Ive taken the fuel filter back off to check if it was struggling to push through it, but no change. And it does it going up hill.
The pump is 1400kms old, and it was put in with the engine transplant.
Im not sure what brand it is, presumably a standardish one. Ive check all the connections and ignition and all are good.
Its on my A+1275 with a newly overhauled HIF44 carby.
Cheers

OK it looks like an SU electronic.
Some folks had trouble with them, not sure of details as I don't run them.
I use a Facet solid state electronic one.... not had a problem in 14 years.

Ok, Yeah they're the ones Ive just been looking at on the net, Is there a recommended working pressure to look for, I think the one I was looking at is around 6psi? And also what g/hr, or L/min would be ideal?
Thanks doc
