He has one of those monkeys from your sig on the roof when he's not driving it  .

What are the seats out off :?:
And with shaved doors (locks but mainly handles) I know legally you still need a way to open the door from the outside, is it still legal to have no mechanical way of unlocking the doors from the outside :? ?
It does look good though, those flairs always look better painted.

What are the seats out off :?: - They were custom made. My mate had them in another car and I scored them during his rebuild
And with shaved doors (locks but mainly handles) I know legally you still need a way to open the door from the outside, is it still legal to have no mechanical way of unlocking the doors from the outside :? ? - Ah, no.
It does look good though, those flairs always look better painted. Thanks.

The answers are in the quote.

btw I'm sure handles are optional. I know Mini handles (not clubman) wouldn't be legal on a modern car.

nothing the jaws of life can't fix. that is the only circumstance that someone other than the owner should need to get in from the outside.

Looking good Peter :D

Ok, been working on the motor (always takes priority over the rest for me :)
Fitted a new blow-off valve and sorted some issues with that and the vacuum... boy oh boy... absolutely flies.

Still getting a raw fuel smell and have bought a gasket and seal kit from Faber to fix the carb...

Otherwise, getting there slowly.
Interior should be done by weekend (fingers crossed) and then ill do the wheels.

Ah, still so much to do... but loving every minute of it :D

Peter

ARGH! Broke it (well, not really) - vacuum leak :(
I installed a BOV and it worked a treat however all of a sudden the idle jumped up abour 400rpm and I knew something was up... also had 20hgm of vacuum, now have 10hgm... hmmm

OK, tested things out and found a leak on manifold... - fixed... BOV is also leaking, but cant be fixed, will take back tomorrow and change it.
