i have been looking for a nice set of mags for my mini and all i can get is 3 different styles that everyone else has.
i am thinking of getting some made in china but it will cost a bit. no wheel and tyre places want to know, they say mini's are dead. i know there would be some other people out there who has the same problame.
i am thinking 12x6 deep dish i am looking at steel rims with billet centers like a centerline, once they are made it will easy to lazer cut any patern we want into them. if there is enough people interested we may be able to do something. what do you all think.

I don't mean to sound negative, but in other post you have had for parts wanted you say they have to be cheap cause your money is tight, how could getting a one off set of wheels made in China be cost effective?

Just curious.

that is why i am asking how maney people would want some. if enough people want to buy them there may be some money in it.
it also depends how much it will cost to get them made i can find someone to come up with the money if there is a profit in it for them.
it is only a thought at the moment.
just wondering matt what are they worth?

there are local places that'd make them as a one off set.... but whether they're made in china or locally, you can't use them on the road unless you make a heap and have them all destruction tested and approved for road use

Just a suggestion. If you are looking for some unusual wheels try Brickworx or similar places that imports used Minis from Japan. I've seen all sorts of interesting wheels on import Minis - SSR spokes, Centreline style, Enkeis, Watanabe....

Cheers,

I've got a feeling that they are made from carbon or something else very lite and very expensive. If i remember correctly, matt had the made up as a set of one off's
