Not mine, this fairly minimalist one belongs to the Tassie Mini Club members:

Yes & no, the VR4 was a great tow car, bucket loads of grunt, but it does'nt do 1750rpm in 6th gear at 110kph like the XR6 does, it's nic, i like.

And here is mine.

Dedicated Mini trailer - 3300 x 1800 with in-built winch battery and tie-downs in each corner. Tandem axle for stability and of course electric brakes. Home built for the princely sum of $2,300. Sides are 200mm high so you can open the doors when loaded.
It has a tyre rack at the front for carrying the slicks or wets, and a locker to house the winch when its not in use. The ramps slide in underneath and locked in place by a spring loaded slide bolt. And as you can see, two spares as well.

Hi Andy,

I am running a 10 * 5 trailer built by saturn trailers about 4 years ago.

I found it cheaper to drive to victoria for a built trailer than to buy the parts in SA to build one.

Mini's sit in great but a problem driving them up as you have to Dukes of hazzard it to get out, have been tinkering with a winch.

I have welded a couple of ramps up as well.

you are welcome to come have a look, just PM me with your number.

I'm thinking about selling my tilt trailer...
fits a mini perfectly. but not one with 7" rims.
It is the old Wizza racing trailer.(one of them)
I need to buy a bigger one to fit a wide body bini.

Old trailer:

Not bad, but the ramps were very heavy which gets hard on the back after a while. Towed great, very stable at 100 - 110kmh.

New trailer:

Tilts from just ahead of the springs which gives reasonably good balance. With no car on it the deck will stay up or down until moved. Driver's side guard is removable so you can get the door open to get out. I've since added a heap more tie points by welding on chain links. The winch has also been relocated, it is now attached to the deck rather than the frame.
