ok i got my suspension pumped up yesterday and was wondering why one side wont pump up as far as te othe other and also why the front is so much higher then the back on both sides and we were pumping over 300 psi inot it and the back is just still not going up far enoguh???? is it the suspension feet/knuckles.... the metal ball things as they are not new.....

Give it some time to settle, it might come good.

I'd check the rear arms are free on their shafts, some people forget to grease them.
It's more common for the rear to be high, not low.

If doing the car up I'd change all 4 knuckle joints, they are cheap.

oh ok.... the fella that pumped them up said it was probably the knuckle joints are worn and need replacing.......

the cups that the knuckles sit in collapse, and make them sit funny/crooked - replace them as a set, not just the cup (unless the ball ends are like new) something like $16 each

also, when you pump them up, the ride height will settle after a short drive, and usually the rear will sit a lot higher than the front

also be careful when pumping them up that the alloy inserts in the bags at the front are seated properly, and the knuckle shafts are in the holes

300psi is too much...

yea i know 300 psi is too much but he back was just not going high enugh and still isnt.... i cant take the car for a drive as it isnt registered........ the cup and knuckles sound as though its the problem.... how long will it take to replace both back cups and knuckles

The rear pushrods can fall out of the displacer when the system is flat.

The pressure in Minis is around 275psi. Plus or minus 10psi. But when fitting new displacers (unlikely these days) you need to pump them well over 300 to get them to settle.

ok.... how do you ckeck if this is the case?

go for a drive....

or, with the car on smooth concrete, put a couple of pieces of cardboard under the front tyres, and turn the wheel from side to side and bounce up and down on the suspension.

The cardboard allows the tyres to slide outwards, thus getting the front to settle at the natural height
