I used to have a 1275 Californian with tuned length headers and dbl brl 45mm weber.
Roof down, passenger bracing the windscreen with their feet it was good for 145kph with my surfboard strapped to the roll cage. I think it actually helped the aerodynamics.
A mate had an old 1100 moke (i think) and he just took the windscreen off al together. Drove everywhere with cheap ski goggles on. Looked just like the "Doc" in Back to the Future by the time he arrived anywhere.
crap we used to have fun in those two cars. We perfected a passenger exchange manoeuvre from one moke to the other whilst motoring down Parramatta Rd. Also perfected the driver change manoevre (single moke) at speed.
What can I say....we were young and stupid and usually under the influence of herbal substances in those days
