You can undo that drain pipe from below with a socket, extension and ratchet... :wink:

Note that it sits on an angle.

easiest way to get the drainage plug out is with an old fashion "Tube Spanner".
Screws off easily. BTDT. Snapped the pipe off my first plug to get it out. Bought a new one as the original was rounded by the time I got it out. Cut the pipe off the new one before putting it in only then to realise that the box of old pipe spanners in my shed would have been the perfect solution. And they were!
And by the way, Disconnect your battery and remove it from the boot before you take the tank out. Guaranteed to spill the last bit of fuel in to your boot. Dont want anything sparking when that happens.
