I want some advice on replacing my a-panel as this will be the first time i have done this. What is the best way to go about this, info on personall experience would be appreciated.

both a-panels are rusted and are in good shape except the bottom which is badly rusted. When i repair the inner panel and prep it so wont rust again would i be better cutting out the red line as long as im sure the rust is gone and replacing half the panel or the whole lot - the blue line, which will require much more work.
(in the pic below near the upper hinge holes isnt bad - looks much worse than really is) (along the sill below the door is only where a bit of water got - not rust)

Thank Brenton

Also search for posts from Simonk.
He did some major work on his cooper s over christmas (or earlier this year) that involved exactly this from memory, and had a lot of photos etc on how he did it.

cut the whole a panel out that way you can look at the whole inner a panel and access any rust my gt project the bottoms were rusty like yours, but when opened up inner had surface rust and rust holes above top hinges so I cut them off, and putting on new ones
