thats what im gonna do if i cant find a van, ive always been after a van anyway, plus theres a fair bit more room to play with and try ideas out in them.

regardless of what i want it for, were there any vans during/after 1986?

Amen. I used to go every year until I got sick of the same 40" inch rims and rainbow paintjobs...

I did, however, see a pale blue mini van there one year... most interesting car there IMO 8)

Does anyone know what year 'Mutant' is? I remember that it got invited to appear at Autosalon.

didnt they make an exception last year because the alpine blue bini appeared so they let a few of the old minis appear at the side or something?

According to Graham Robson's book, MINI - A Celebration Of Britain's Best Loved Small Car (available from The Mini Experience - shameless plug), Mini vans and pickups were finally discontinued in May 1983. (they still had the 848cc engine as standard right to the end!)

Don't quote me, but I'm pretty sure Mutant was originally a 1973 (?) Mini. It has had one or two changes since new, though.

Cheers,
Watto.

Jan had Mutant in quite a few times. The last time the Mini club was invited to enter some cars. A few members on here had their Mini's on display.
