I've bought a pair of Bullet Mirrors but the arms are the short version for guard mounting. I would like to mount them on the doors and I understand the door mount requires (or it is better to have) a longer arm.

Are the arms sold separately? or will I have to put these up on eBay and buy the whole deal?

Generally the traditional bullet mirrors only come with the short arm like yours. There are a longer arm version available - it is a design specific for mounting on Mini doors and as well as having a longer arm, it also has another point of adjustment at the join between the mirror and arm (it is actually the same arm as the rectangular Tex mirrors used on Rover Minis). They work much better than the standard bullet mirror.

But to answer your question, no the arms are not available separately, and even if they were I don't believe the two types are interchangeable anyway.
