Hey guys, Brand newbie to the forum and minis, and glad I have finally seen the light. I'm 74' clubby owner and proud of it, pics soon.
Anyway my dash desperately needs a refurb so I might break out the old fibreglassing skills and knock one up. (I'll make a how to if needed also)
Anyway I'd like to incorporate the stock speedo and tacho to the dash only things is to match my aftermarket gauges I'll need some chrome rings to go around the two gauges. Any ideas where I'd be able to track something like this down? Don't have to be exactly the same as the other gauges, just shiny and the right diameter.

Thanks guys

Sounds like you may need make some. I saw a process once where you could Chrome just about anything.

I havent had much luck with so called chrome sprays.

Let us know if you find something suitable.

And welcome to Ausmini

yep, stay very much away from the chrome sprays,

theres a place called chrome tech, might be worth while giving them a call if you need something chromed.

Hey cheers guys. Yeah I have nothing to speak of just yet. I was thinking about trying my luck with something like thislinky I'll keep my eyes open anyway. Have thought about the chroming plastic idea but I have no rings yet to chrome so that idea gets shot.

Proud of a 74 Clubby   Just joking. I should be posting a few pictures of the new dash I made for Ash's 74 clubby over the last couple of days (probably could do it in a day if I didn't get distracted doing other things.

One thing I wanted to do so that it looked neater was to not have any visible bolts to attach it with, all attached from the back. We are fibreglassing and painting tomorrow (if it isn't raining too much). I think it looks pretty neat so far and has only cost $9.97 (for the MDF from bunnings). Got to buy fibreglass, primer etc so it should end up pretty cheap.
